Belarus’s embattled President, Alexander Lukashenko, is flying to Russia for talks with Vladimir Putin.

It’s going to be their first face-to-face assembly since protests broke out in Belarus remaining month following the disputed presidential election.

Mr Putin recognises Mr Lukashenko because the authentic Belarusian chief and says he has forces able to interfere if the protests get out of regulate.

There may be hypothesis he needs nearer ties in trade for persevered fortify.

The talks will happen within the Russian Black Sea hotel of Sochi as a joint army workout starts close to the western Belarusian town of Brest.

On Sunday, tens of hundreds of folks marched during the Belarusian capital Minsk and different towns to call for that Mr Lukashenko surrender. Police stated they detained about 400 folks.

The Belarusian opposition accuses Mr Lukashenko, who has been in energy for 26 years, of rigging the presidential election.

He has insisted that he received moderately with 80% of the vote and has painted the protests as Western-backed and anti-Russian.

Alexander Lukashenko needs this assembly to display to protesters again house that Russia has his again: a recent reminder that Vladimir Putin’s observing what is going down in Belarus, and may ship in his safety forces.

In go back, he is been busy signalling to Moscow that he’s the person to stay Belarus in its orbit, portray the protesters as anti-Russian and sponsored via the West.

Some have speculated that Mr Putin will push for deeper financial and political ties with Minsk as the cost of his fortify.
