‘Like a large explosion’: earthquake reported in Bedfordshire

The British Geological Survey is investigating stories of an earthquake in Bedfordshire, southern England.

Preliminary knowledge at the BGS site recommended the earthquake was once felt within the area of Leighton Buzzard, in Bedfordshire, at about eight.45am on Tuesday and was once magnitude three.three at a intensity of 10km.

In a tweet, the BGT stated it had gained stories from individuals of the general public within the closely populated space.

“Studies come with ‘like a convoy of HGVs using previous my entrance door at nice velocity’, ‘the home had one dramatic shake’, ‘felt like entire area was once shaking’ & ‘it was once like a big explosion’,” the organisation tweeted.

Bedfordshire police stated the pressure had gained numerous calls from the general public however no accidents had been reported.

A tweet stated: “Our regulate room are these days experiencing numerous calls because of an earthquake which was once felt around the county. We’ve got these days gained no stories of any accidents or primary structural harm.”
