The College of Oxford says it is going to proceed its COVID-19 vaccine trial in Brazil, following the dying of a volunteer.
The Brazilian well being authority stated on Wednesday a volunteer within the scientific trial of the possible vaccine – which has been licenced to pharmaceutical massive AstraZeneca – had died.
However the college stated an unbiased overview had printed no protection issues.
“Following cautious review of this situation in Brazil, there were no issues about protection of the scientific trial and the unbiased overview along with the Brazilian regulator have really helpful that the trial must proceed,” a spokesman stated.
