Polish mayor 'stabbed on stage' during major charity event

A mayor in Poland has been stabbed whilst on degree at a charity tournament, in line with media studies within the nation.

Pawel Adamowicz, who’s the mayor of Gdansk, was once reportedly attacked in entrance of masses of onlookers all the way through the finale of the charity tournament within the town.

The 53-year-old’s situation continues to be unclear.

In keeping with broadcaster TVN24, government detained a suspect following the incident.

A tweet from inside minister Joachim Brudzinski showed there have been an act of “inexcusable barbarity”.

The president of the Ecu Council Donald Tusk tweeted a message of toughen to Mr Adamowicz, pronouncing “we’re with you”.

Poland’s high minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, tweeted: “The assault on existence and well being of Pawel Adamowicz is worthy of the very best condemnation.”
