Preserving dioramas of African American history

In 1940, on the American Negro Exposition in Chicago (marking the 75th anniversary of Emancipation), evocative dioramas had been created to have fun the often-unacknowledged achievements of African American citizens. Lately, conservators, together with African American scholars, are restoring those dioramas, bringing their magical artistry, and historical past, again to lifestyles.
