Actor Rodney Litchfield, identified for roles in TV displays together with Early Doorways, Coronation Boulevard and Phoenix Nights, has died on the age of 81.
Litchfield performed the depressing Tommy within the pub-based BBC comedy Early Doorways, which aired in 2003 and 2004.
Phil Mealey, who wrote the display with Craig Money, showed the scoop to the BBC, pronouncing the performer were unwell for a number of years.
