The Doobie Brothers aren't happy that Bill Murray is using their song to sell 'ugly' golf shirts

In a Wednesday letter to Murray and William Murray Golfing — owned through the actor and his brothers — the band’s lawyer, Peter Paterno, accused the corporate and the actor of the usage of the band’s track “Concentrate to the Song” in ads for the corporate’s “0 Hucks Given” golfing shirts.

“Then again, for the reason that you have not paid to make use of it, perhaps you must trade the corporate identify to ‘0 Greenbacks Given,'” the letter reads.

The letter is going directly to cite the United States Copyright Act, and says Murray must “already know you’ll’t use song in commercials with out paying for it.”

It concludes with: “We would virtually be OK with it if the shirts were not so rattling unsightly. However it’s what it’s. So within the immortal phrases of Jean Paul Sartre, ‘Au revoir Golfer. Et payez!'”

Invoice Murray’s representatives have no longer but returned CNN’s request for remark.

Murray and his brothers introduced their corporate in 2017. In line with the corporate’s internet website, the six brothers all grew up caddying and enjoying golfing within the northern suburbs of Chicago and have been inducted into the Caddie Corridor of Popularity in 2015.
